Chorley Hotel Guide

The tower on Rivington Pike, a landmark that can be seen from most parts of Chorley   View of Northern Chorley from Healey Nab

Chorley is a market town in Lancashire, in North West England. The town's wealth came principally from the cotton industry. As recently as the 1970s the skyline was dominated by numerous factory chimneys, but most are now demolished: remnants of the industrial past include Morrison's chimney and a few other mill buildings, and the streets of terraced houses for mill workers. Chorley is known as the home of the Chorley cake. 1998 saw the completion of the largest Mormon temple outside Salt Lake City in Chorley, known as the Preston England Temple.
